Introduction
Prowired Electrical completed a new corridor lighting scheme at a commercial office site in Sittingbourne, Kent. The project replaced the existing arrangement with a modern, low-glare lighting system, supported by a fully integrated Lutron control solution and dedicated emergency provision.
With a tight one-week deadline in place, the works called for careful planning and a flexible approach. We delivered the installation efficiently, working out of hours where needed, to bring the corridor up to a clean, contemporary standard without disrupting day-to-day operations.
What We Delivered
Prowired delivered a comprehensive corridor lighting overhaul, installing new fixtures, containment, and an integrated Lutron control system.
Key Deliverables
Lighting: Installed 16 DALI dimmable panel lights (1200×150) and 12 emergency panel lights (600×600) integrated with a UPS backup.
Containment: Fitted a corridor-length cable tray and ran new circuits to support the layout.
Lutron Controls: Implemented a wireless DALI system featuring 1 Vive hub (expandable), 1 central Powerpak controller, 1 emergency override relay, and 3 programmable Pico wall switches with preset dimming.

Outcome
The completed corridor now features a modern, low-glare lighting scheme, integrated emergency provision and a flexible Lutron control system, all delivered within the agreed one-week programme.
The 16no low-glare DALI dimmable panels provide comfortable, even lighting along the perimeter edge of the suspended ceiling, while the 12no emergency panels offer reliable backup cover through the UPS system. The Lutron Vive hub, Powerpak controller, override relay and Pico wall plates give straightforward, adaptable control, with room to add further Lutron devices in the future.
The result is a clean, contemporary corridor installation, delivered efficiently and to a high standard. It stands as a clear example of our commercial lighting upgrades and our wider commercial electrical services.
